17:30: Hello and welcome to a developer roundtable held at the Amsterdam 3DS event. Super Street Fighter IV 3D producer Yoshinori Ono will be discussing the game and taking questions in a few moments' time.

17:33: We've learned that the roundtable will be in two parts - first Street Fighter IV and then Resident Evil Mercenaries.

17:34: Ono presents details of Street Fighter IV. The title will feature a lineup of 35 fighters

17:35: But what about the Arcade version of Super Street Fighter IV and when will it be coming to Europe? "Frankly speaking, I won't be telling."

17:36: Back to the 3DS version. Each character will come with three costumes - original, alternative and super alternative - and unlike the consoles won't be DLC.

17:37: Now onto the multiplayer modes that'll feature in the game. Online Versus Battle will matchmake you with another player online automatically. It'll be global, too.

17:38: Capcom did a communication test between Japan, Europe and North America, and Ono can report that it works "very well".

17:39: Local Wireless Vs Battle - this will be a local, WiFi battle via 2D or 3D modes.

17:40: As explained in Nintendo's press conference, StreetPass. This will be "really easy", says Ono, as you pick a Figurine, set up the device, close then go on the move.

17:41: Figurines compete in simulated battles. Points earned can purchase new figurines, and they can be traded and new ones can be downloaded at a later date.

17:42: Furthermore, only one cart is needed for local wireless play. Not only that, but if the host drops out, then the player without the game keeps the code downloaded and join them for another match later on.

17:45: Now to Q&A. Someone asks the difference between games that are downloaded and the full version. There'll only be one character and one stage playable in the downloaded version.

17:47: Can the touch-screen combo assists be turned off? Yes, and there will be an online mode without touch-screen support as well.

17:48: Someone queries as to whether Capcom asked Nintendo if it could use its characters. He says that he hopes people will plead with Nintendo to allow it to make Nintendo Vs Capcom.

17:49: Ono concludes, and now it's on to Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D.

17:52: The title will take the "best characteristics of the series" into an all-new and "improved" Mercenaries mode in 3D.

17:54: The developer says that players too scared to play through the games never got to try out this mode. But because it was popular between Resident Evil players they decided to make it a separate game.

17:55: Like the console versions, each session will be timed but there'll be the chance to extend length through power-ups.

17:57: Capcom is using MT Framework for the visuals, while MT Mobile will be a 3DS-specific engine developed for the game.

17:59: Like the main series, the game will feature "fascinating" characters. Claire Redfield will make her Mercenaries debut in the game. Her weapon will be a three-shot gun that will be "very powerful".

18:00: Other characters in the game include Hulk, Chris Redfield and Jack Krauser (from Resident Evil 4).

18:01: More characters will be available post-release.

18:02: Now time for questions. Someone asks what makes the game more of a complete experience than the Mercenary modes featured in the console versions. The developer responds that it is more of a "full" version of the mode, and will feature more character and specific missions with different gameplay styles. There'll also be a character-specific skill system. Other features will be announced at a later date.

18:06: The developer is quizzed about multiplayer. The game will feature co-op, but specific features of the mode will be discussed at a later time.

18:08: The final question asks about the quantity and type of stages that'll feature. Capcom has not decided on the final number. Some stages will be from Resident Evil 5, others will be modified. Again, information about this will come at a later date.

18:10: And that's it - thanks for reading!
