02:56: PS Vita price announced! $249 (€249 / £223) for the Wifi model. $299 (€299 / £268) for the 3G model. The 3G model will have 3G service provided by AT&T. European carriers and price data price plans will be announced at a later date.
02:52: "This is just a sample of what's coming to PlayStation Vita." Over 80 titles in development for Vita. A trailer shows many titles including Uncharted, Wipeout, Little Deviants, Little Big Planet, Sound Shapes, Project: Gravity, Hustle Kings, ModNation Racers, Super Stardust, Ruin, Reality Fighters and Hot Shots Golf.
02:50: Cole from Infamous and Infamous 2 will be a playable character in Street Fighter X Tekken on PS Vita. The game demonstrated on Vita, featuring Cole.
02:47: Street Fighter X Tekken is in development for PS Vita.
02:46: Announcing Little Big Planet for PlayStation Vita. A gameplay trailer shows the touch screen used for creating levels, and as a way of controlling user-created levels. The Vita camera can be used to take pictures and use them as objects in the game. The Vita version will be compatible with all PS3 DLC.
02:45: Wipeout on Vita will offer cross-platform play with the PS3.
02:44: All tracks, mods and karts created on PS3 and PSP will be available in the Vita version on day one of ModNation Racers' release on Vita.
02:40: Announcing ModNation Racers on PS Vita. An all new game, not a port of either PSP or PS3 versions. Showing track creation using the Vita touch screen. Using the back touch panel, users can create mountains on the track. They can also create canyons by touching the front panel.
02:35: Announcing a "social action-RPG" for Vita that is also compatible with PS3, titled Ruin. Multiple character classes, deep advancement and tons of loot. Other players are your rivals in the game. The gameplay demo shows raiding a rival's lair, which will change according to other players' actions. Ruin will also release on PS3. Games saved to the cloud on one system can be played instantly on the other.
02:28: Showing a gameplay demo of Uncharted: Golden Abyss on Vita. It looks remarkably close to the PS3 Uncharted games. Melee combat is performed using the touch screen. While climbing, positioning jumps can be done by tilting the system. Players can use just one control method or a combination of sticks, touch and tilt without ever entering a menu.
02:26: Using "Party", players can chat with friends on Vita no matter what game each person is playing. "Near" allows players to connect with users close to them to find nearby players.
02:25: PSVita will have both WiFi and 3G models available. Sony is partnering with AT&T as the exclusive carrier for PSVita in the US.
02:25: Hirai has finally come to the NGP. Officially named PlayStation Vita. A system is shown with a PSVita logo.
02:23: But first he's talking about PlayStation Suite, which makes PlayStation content available on select smartphones like the Xperia Play.

02:18: Three exclusive PS3 modes from EA. For SSX, a level based on Mount Fuji will be exclusive to PS3. Need for Speed: The Run will include seven exclusive supercars. Battlefield 3 will include Battlefield 1943 on the Blu-ray disc exclusively on PS3.
02:15: The Star Trek game from Paramount will have PlayStation Move support, as well as Move peripherals designed after the iconic Star Trek phaser.
02:11: A gameplay trailer introduces Bioshock Infinite, before Ken Lavine takes the stage for Irrational Games. Addressing critical comments he made about motion control. After spending some time with the PlayStation Move, he is announcing that Bioshock Infinite will have Move controls. Levine is also announcing a new game in the Bioshock universe that is in development for the NGP. Bioshock Infinite on PS3 will include the full original Bioshock on the same Blu-ray disc.
02:06: Sony is announcing Dust 514, a persistent online shooter created by the developers who made EVE Online. The game will work cross-platform with EVE Online on PC. It will also integrate with Home, use Move, and have compatibility with NGP. Showing a gameplay trailer that begins with an on-foot battle and zooms out to show orbiting ships and eventually a vast star map. Closed beta later this year, and a full release in 2012.
02:03: A trailer shows a new Sly Cooper game. Titled Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time, it will arrive in 2012.
02:00: Now showing Starhawk, set for release in early 2012. The trailer has a science fiction wild west feeling, and shows off infantry combat, ground vehicles, planes and dogfights in space.
01:52: Showing a new trailer for Infamous 2. The trailer shows Cole's standard electric powers, as well as his new fire and ice powers. The user generated content will launch this autumn with PlayStation Move support.
01:52: Tretton announcing a new PlayStation Move title: Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest. Easily switch between a sword, bow and throwing stars based on how you hold and move the Move controller. There's no inventory system, it is all based on movements. Other items used such as a shield for combat and a grappling hook for puzzles.
01:48: 2K Sports showing NBA 2K 12 with PlayStation Move. New mode "NBA on Move" - point at a player and press the pass button to pass to that player. Point at an opponent to target them on defence. Control player movement with the navigation controller. Kobe Bryant takes the stage to play a match against 2K.
01:44: PlayStation-branded 24-inch 3D display. Allows for two players to see full-screen images when using 3D glasses in place of split-screen play. Available this fall including 3D glasses, an HDMI cable and Resistance 3 game for $499 (£306).
01:42: Announcing the Resistance Sharpshooter Collection with the game and Sharpshooter peripheral for $150. God of War Origins Collection including both PSP games remastered in HD. ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection. Both HD collections releasing this September and available in 3D.
01:38: Insomnia taking the stage to show Resistance 3. A gameplay demo shows the ruined city of St. Luis. Using the series' signature weaponry to dispatch chimera through walls and with placeable shields. The demo jumps ahead to what appears to be a boss battle against a giant spider-like chimera, but the demo ends before the fight begins.
01:34: Showing a 3D trailer for Uncharted 3. Drake, Sully, and Chloe travel to Africa in search of a lost city. Coming November 1, 2011.
01:27: Naughty Dog taking the stage to talk about Uncharted 3. A gameplay demo begins with Drake on a cruise ship in the rain. He shifts his weight as the ship lurches on the waves. Drake sneaks through the ship's ballroom and corridors, using stealth to knock out guards. A firefight breaks out, and a grenade causes water to start pouring into the ship. Crates shift around the room as water weighs one side of the ship. The demo ends with Drake running from a wall of water flooding after him.

00:30: Welcome to the live blog for Sony's E3 2011 conference. Teased to last five hours but will most likely finish in two, this should give us everything we need to know about the Sony NGP, including a final name, pricing and release dates. So far, PlayStation Vita and a Japanese-only 2011 release is most likely. Elsewhere, expect a big showing for Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception and a new Syphon Filter game to be unveiled. We'll find out everything in 30 minutes time at 1am BST / 10pm EST / 5pm PST.
