'Metal Gear Solid 4' storms to number one

The PlayStation 3 exclusive is now the second fastest-selling PS3 game in the UK, with Grand Theft Auto IV only 2,000 copies ahead.
The title, which outsold previous release Metal Gear Solid 3 by some 24,000 copies during its first week on sale, prevented last week's number one LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures from spending its second week at the top.
Elsewhere, consumers buying the DS Lite Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training hardware bundle for Father's Day helped the title back into the top ten at number five. In total, the game has now spent 74 weeks in the top ten and is only five weeks from matching current record holder Tomb Raider.
Wii exclusive Sports Island gives Konami a second game in the top ten, while Xbox 360 and PS3 game Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution made its debut at number nine.
Nintendo will be pleased to see its exercise game Wii Fit finally return to the top ten after the firm managed to renew the game's stock levels.
