The Japanese games giant has teamed up with Game, Argos, HMV, Zavvi, Woolworths, Toys R Us and Asda to open the specialist section dedicated to its handheld system.
The centres, which are now in operation, are designed to give customers the opportunity to play demos of DS titles, while DS owners will be able to download demos to their own machine.
The scheme, already planned for expansion later in the year, has seen numerous in-store demos become available, including Sight Training, Nintendogs, Big Brain Academy, New Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, and Animal Crossing: Wild World.
