The Japanese games firm, which released firmware update 2.40 last Wednesday, was forced to take it down from its servers after users complained that it had potentially console-wrecking problems.
According to CVG, the repaired update, which has been renamed 2.41, will be made live this Wednesday.
Sony has yet to make an official announcement regarding the relaunch.
