PS3 firmware 2.41 to launch on Wednesday

Sony is to relaunch its latest, eagerly-awaited PlayStation 3 firmware update on Wednesday after spending time fixing it.

The Japanese games firm, which released firmware update 2.40 last Wednesday, was forced to take it down from its servers after users complained that it had potentially console-wrecking problems.

According to CVG, the repaired update, which has been renamed 2.41, will be made live this Wednesday.

Sony has yet to make an official announcement regarding the relaunch.
