Rockstar's 'Bully' TV advert avoids ban
A controversial television advert promoting Rockstar's Bully: Scholarship Edition has escaped a ban, despite receiving 31 viewer complaints.

One viewer told the Advertising Standard Authority the advert "glorified, trivialised and encouraged bullying and violence".

Responding to viewers' complaints, a Rockstar spokesman said that far from glorifying bullying, the aim of the game was to beat the bullies.

The Advertising Standards Authority said it decided not to uphold the complaints as it considered the advert to be "cartoon-like in nature" and "representative of the contents of the game rather than a realistic portrayal of intimidation or bullying".
