Eidos: 'Summer Athletics is a Wii first'
Published Sunday, Jul 27 2008, 13:36 BST | By David Gibbon

The game, which will be released on PS2, Xbox 360, PC and Wii on August 15, will feature over 25 events, including cycling, swimming, diving, archery, hammer throwing, sprinting and hurdles.
Eidos is hoping the title will appeal to both casual and experienced gamers by offering both arcade play and a more challenging career mode.
“We’re really excited about the release of Summer Athletics, especially as it is the first realistic summer sports simulation for the Nintendo Wii and will tie in with the major sporting events occurring this summer,” said Jon Brooke, head of UK marketing for Eidos.
"It will provide hours of fun gaming for a wide audience and should really capture the mood of the summer."
Beijing 2008, the official game of the 2008 Olympics, is only available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with a PC version pencilled in for release on August 8.
