Receptionist confirmed as new Lara Croft
A 23-year-old London receptionist has been confirmed as the face of the forthcoming Tomb Raider: Underworld game.

Alison Carroll has no modelling experience, but has been pulled from her desk job to embark on a global marketing tour to promote Lara Croft and her new game.

Carroll, who works out in the gym six times a week and has spent 12 years as a professional display gymnast, will now follow in the footsteps of past Lara models such as Nell McAndrew and Rhona Mitra.

"This is a fantastic opportunity and I am really looking forward to embracing Lara's world," she said.

"This is my dream job. I have always wanted to be an action hero and hope to be able to use my gymnastic ability to perform all of Lara's stunts."

Tomb Raider: Underworld will be released on November 21.
