Developed by TT Games, which created LEGO: Star Wars and its sequel, the title will feature challenges for both solo players and teams as gamers bid to become a world record breaker.
Among the mini-games on offer will be a tightrope walk across the Grand Canyon, a quest to eat a jumbo jet or the option of growing the longest fingernails.
“Guinness World Record lends itself wonderfully to an interactive experience for the whole family,” said Tom Stone, managing director of TT Games.
“We’re excited at this opportunity to team up with such a well-loved institution to create a really fresh and fun game.”
