PS3 'BioShock' release date confirmed

The critically-acclaimed bestseller BioShock will be released for PlayStation 3 on October 24, 2K Games has confirmed.

The PS3 edition of the game will contain all-new content, according to 2K Games, that "augments and extends the experience in exciting ways".

Among the new additions is a Survivor difficulty mode, PS3 Trophy support and Challenge Rooms, which are designed to test gamers' knowledge and skills acquired while venturing through the halls of submerged city Rapture.

President of 2K Games Christoph Hartmann said: "We are proud to introduce 2K Games' showcase title, BioShock, to an entirely new audience.

“With the addition of the new add-on game content we are able to extend the award-winning adventure while maintaining the perfect harmony that millions of players around the world have fallen in love with.”
