HMV: 'Games sales to surpass music'

The sales of video games are to become more profitable than music, high street retailer HMV has claimed.
Currently contributing to 19% of profits for the company, the medium is expected to overtake music sales within the next 12 to 18 months.
Speaking to The Sun, CEO Simon Fox said: "The fact is, the market is moving away from music, so we are giving more space in our stores to games."
Big selling franchises such as Grand Theft Auto, Mario Kart and Brain Training are contributing to the change in focus, as well as a strong winter lineup.
The company's sales from the end of April are up by 4.1%.
