Activision acquires FreeStyleGames
Activision has announced the purchase of UK music game developer FreeStyleGames.

The Lemington-Spa based developer - best known for PSP title B-Boy - will become an internal team supporting localised download content for the Guitar Hero franchise, while working exclusively on a new intellectual property in the music game genre.

"This is an exciting time for our company and great recognition of our success to date that Activision Publishing would look to welcome us to their studio roster," said Jamie Jackson of FreeStyleGames.

Activision did not disclose how much the deal is worth, but confirmed that the two companies have signed long-term employment contracts.
