Leading DC Comics writer Geoff Johns has joined Sony Online Entertainment’s upcoming PS3 and PC title DC Online Universe.
Johns is currently the lead writer on DC titles The Justice Society Of America, Action Comics and Green Lantern.
DC Online Universe offers players the chance to battle as popular comic book characters including Batman, Superman and The Joker in locations such as Metropolis and Gotham City.
Johns said in a statement that transferring comic books into online gaming "presents an exciting and unique opportunity for me as a writer".
He is joined on the development team by celebrated comic artist Jim Lee, who will act as executive creative director on the game.
