Release date set for new 'Golden Axe'

Sega has announced that its classic hack and slash Golden Axe series will make its next-generation debut in October.
Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Golden Axe: Beast Riders will go on sale simultaneously in the UK on October 17.
The title will act as a prequel to the original Golden Axe game, which was released on the Megadrive in 1989.
Sega explained that players will take the role of female barbarian/gladiator character Tyris Flare as she "begins the epic quest to avenge her tribe".
