According to publisher Square Enix, the game is set two years after the death of King Krichevskoy, the ruler of the Netherworld. It sees his son Prince Laharl, who was unaware of his father's demise, fight to become the next king with the help of his vassal Etna and her underlings.
"The main feature of Disgaea DS is the multiplayer mode. Fans that are tired of the original can still get a kick out of this game by destroying their buddy's Laharl and Etna," an NIS spokesman told Crispygamer.
