Nintendo to release new DS in Japan
Published Sunday, Sep 28 2008, 12:36 BST | By Mark Langshaw

The new system will include larger screens, a built-in camera, music playback capabilities and improved Wi-Fi support, and will be compatible with SD cards.
Like its predecessor, the new model will be dual screen, but it is unclear whether both screens will support a dual touch panel system as rumours have suggested.
The SD card support opens up new possibilities for DS owners, who will now be able to listen to music ported from CDs and exchange data with the Nintendo Wii.
The DS currently retails in Japan at 16,800 yen (£85). The new model is expected to be priced at less than 20,000 yen (£102).
Nintendo is also planning an overseas release for 2009.
