Activision to release 'Dance Hero'?
Activision Blizzard has filed an application to trademark the name Dance Hero with the US Patent and Trademark Office, fuelling speculation that a game of the same name will soon go into production.

Konami is currently the market leader in the rhythm franchise sector, with its title Dance Dance Revolution the bestselling game of its kind.

The move by Activision Blizzard, a subsidiary of the Guitar Hero publisher, has sparked rumours that it is about to throw its hat into the rhythm ring.

However, the game may never surface as Activision has trademarked the titles Guitar Villain, Drum Villain and DJ Hero in the past without releasing games under the names.
