Zack Snyder, the director of 300 and the upcoming adaptation of Watchmen, is to develop three original game titles for EA.

According to Variety, EA will own the games' intellectual properties, but Snyder has the option to make any film versions through his Cruel & Unusual Films Company.

EA Games label president Frank Gibeau said: "Zack Snyder has a fresh and bold creative style that resonates with our core audience."

A game version of Snyder's previous film 300 is currently being made by Brash Entertainment.
