Nintendo tackles Wii storage issues
Nintendo has addressed the Wii's lack of internal storage capabilities by allowing gamers to download content directly onto an SD card.

During its autumn Japanese press conference Nintendo announced that, as of spring 2009, games purchased from the Virtual Console can be downloaded directly onto an SD card. However, in order to play them, the games will still need to be transferred onto the Wii's internal memory.

The Wii has been heavily criticised for its lack of hard drive, meaning that gamers have been limited with the amount of content they can download.
