EA's 'Dead Space' achieves gold status
EA has announced that its survival horror title Dead Space has achieved gold status and will be ready to ship in the next two weeks.

In the game, players take the role of Isaac Clarke, who must struggle for survival on a deep-space mining ship that is overrun with alien creatures called Necromorphs.

The title will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 14 in North America, followed by a PC version on October 20 and a European release on all three platforms on October 24.

Console owners purchasing the game in the first two weeks of launch can download a free suit - an Elite Suit for Xbox 360 and Obsidian Suit for PS3 - which will deliver enhanced armour and inventory capacity.

There will also be an Xbox 360 exclusive Dead Space Ultra Limited Edition package, which features a bonus content DVD, Dead Space Downfall animated movie and a graphic novel comprising the six issues of the Dead Space comic.
