'Manhunt 2' finally gets UK release
Published Monday, Oct 6 2008, 16:47 BST | By Andrew Laughlin

The sequel to the equally controversial Manhunt involves players escaping the Dixmore lunatic asylum by using stealthy movement and employing a range of gruesome kills.
The game was released a year ago in the US, but was refused a UK rating by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) for its "unremitting bleakness and callousness of tone".
Following negotiations and extensive revisions between Rockstar, the BBFC and the Video Appeals Committee (VAC), a decision was reached in March to award the game an 18 certificate.
Manhunt 2 for PlayStation 2, PSP and Wii will now get a Halloween release on October 31.
