YouTube to sell games via Amazon
Video-streaming website YouTube is to sell games through an advertising deal with Amazon.

Clips showing video game content will link to Amazon sales pages, similar to the way music videos currently link to Amazon's MP3 store and iTunes.

Owner Google is looking for additional ways to monetise its services. In an interview with Reuters, product manager Shishir Mehrotra said: "There'll be lots of different solutions for lots of different problems."

Google also announced that it will start AdSense video advertising through web-browser games, working with various developers including Konami.

The company bought YouTube for £1 billion in 2006 and is expected to make a £120 million profit through advertising next year.
