EA's gaming event returning to London

EA's event will take place on October 31 and November 1 and will see the company - with the aid of celebrities - show off its latest titles to the public.
Gamers will be able to play titles such as Need For Speed, Rock Band 2 and Mirror's Edge inside the "Battledome", a temporary structure EA claims will be one of the biggest ever built in Trafalgar Square.
London Mayor Boris Johnson said: "I am pleased to see EA’s 'Be The One' event is returning to Trafalgar Square. It was an undoubted highlight of last year's festival, which reinforces London's position at the centre of one the most fastest-growing creative industries in the world."
The Mayor's comments contrast with statements he made in 2006 when he said gaming was responsible for "ignorance and underachievement" in young males.
