Sony reveals reason behind 'LBP' delay
Following reports that LittleBigPlanet will be missing its October 24 debut, developer Sony has confirmed that the delay is due to an in-game song quoting heavily from the Qur'an.

"During the review process prior to the release of LittleBigPlanet, it has been brought to our attention that one of the background music tracks licensed from a record label for use in the game contains two expressions that can be found in the Qur'an," the company explained in a statement.

"We have taken immediate action to rectify this and we sincerely apologise for any offence that this may have caused."

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe also confirmed a new launch date will be announced shortly, with entertainment retailer Zavvi listing a November 14 release date on its website.
