Sony has confirmed that MotorStorm 2: Pacific Rift will arrive in stores one week earlier than previously announced.

According to the company's release schedule, the racing sequel will arrive in UK stores November 7. The party's other major title, Resistance 2, is slated for November 28.

Pacific Rift promises to offer more variety than its predecessor, which shifted over 3 million copies worldwide. Action will take place against the backdrop of a tropical island and a new monster truck vehicle class will be available for selection.

The game features 45 licensed music tracks, including nine exclusives, and more than double that of its predecessor. Notable artists appearing on the MotorStorm: Pacific Rift soundtrack include Nirvana, Queens Of The Stone Age, David Bowie and Fatboy Slim.
