Winter release for 'Street Fighter IV'?

The hugely-anticipated return of Capcom's fighting series Street Fighter could go ahead in the US this winter, according to reports.

Street Fighter IV, which is to be released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, will mark the return of iconic characters such as Ryu, Blanka and Chun-Li.

Yoshi Ono, producer of the game, said to X-Play that of a US release date: "We don't want to start rumours that it's this year, but definitely this winter.

"At some point you'll be sitting in your winter coat looking at snow out the window…and right then we'll kind of heat you up a little with some hot Street Fighter action, so look forward to that."

Some believe that the release will be timed to coincide with feature film Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li, which will be released on February 27, 2009.
