An anonymous developer has claimed that existing Nintendo DS code is "freezing up" on the new DSi handheld console.
According to a report featured on Pocket Gamer, the developer suggested that the new title has been refused certification because the code freezes up on the DSi.
The claim has led to speculation that older DS titles will not be compatible with the DSi, but Nintendo insisted that the fears are unfounded.
"All DS titles are compatible with DSi, with the exception of those that require use of the GBA slot," a spokesperson said.
The DSi is out in Japan next month and Europe in spring next year.
