CEO John Riccitiello made the revelation during a post-earnings conference call this afternoon.
"There will be a Mercenaries 3 and, if I have anything to do with it, there will be a Mercenaries 10," he said.
The news follows EA's earlier promise of sequels to Dead Space, Army of Two and Battlefield: Bad Company.
Mercenaries 2: World in Flames sold 1.9 million copies earlier this year despite receiving mixed reviews.
