Microsoft: No Xbox 360 price cut plans
Microsoft has revealed that it will not make a further cut to the price of the Xbox 360 for "many, many years".

The firm recently trimmed the cost of both Xbox 360 Premium and Arcade packs, making its console the cheapest next generation unit on the market.

Stephen McGill, Microsoft UK's head of gaming and entertainment, told Videogamer that the Xbox 360 is at "a great price now" and he has no intention of dropping it again for "many, many years in the future".

Sony Computer Entertainment managing director Ray Maguire also revealed that there are no plans to reduce the price of the PS3 in time for Christmas.
