To mark the milestone, the game's developer Konami will launch Metal Gear Online: Commemorative Campaign from November 5 to December 9.
Anyone with an active MGO account will receive 10,000 reward points, which can be used to redeem in-game equipment from the online shop.
Another 30 members - ten from Europe, ten from the US and ten from Japan - will be selected at random to receive a further 10,000 reward points.
Konami will also be offering the MGO Gene and Meme expansion packs for a combined price of $14.99 (£9.30) during the Christmas period.
