Xbox 360 owners own a higher average number of games than those with other current generation consoles, according to research conducted by Gamesutra.
Xbox 360 owners were found to own an average of eight games, compared to 5.5 for Wii owners and 5.3 for PS3.
Although the Xbox 360 has been on the market for longer than its competitors, comparing the attach rates for each console in their first 23 months still saw Microsoft's console at the top of the pile with an average of 6.5 games per owner.
The PS3's attach rate is expected to steadily increase with the success of recent titles Metal Gear 4, LittleBigPlanet and Resistance 2.
The research also showed that Wii owners have between two and three Nintendo published titles in their library.
