Film studio Red Eagle Entertainment has announced plans for video game titles based on Robert Jordan’s Wheel Of Time novels.
The film studio bought the rights to the late author’s epic fantasy saga earlier this year and is currently working on a big screen adaptation of The Eye Of The World, the first book in the series. According to the VentureBeat website, the company plans to release games to coincide with each film, as well as deliver a MMORPG based on the series.
"We've got a huge running start with this property," said Rick Selvage of Red Eagle. "We expect to have a game based on every movie, and we expect no less than three movies, though that depends on how well each does."
The company intends to recruit games industry professionals in the coming months, and "wants to hire the rock stars," according to Selvage.
