Electronic Arts to launch fitness game
Published Friday, Nov 14 2008, 02:48 GMT | By Andrew Laughlin

EA Sports Active will not use the Wii Fit balance board but instead utilise the Wii Remote, Nunchuk and resistance bands for a series of fitness routines.
The game will face strong competition not only from Wii Fit, but also from Atari's Family Training and Deep Silver's upcoming Fitness Ultimatum 2009.
EA's Peter Moore told Gamespot that the title will focus on raising the player's heart rate in a condensed period of time and will also measure calories burned and time taken to complete the routines.
Moore revealed that the game will be endorsed by Bob Green, who is Oprah Winfrey's personal trainer.
