Codemasters acquire Swordfish Studios
Publisher Codemasters has acquired Swordfish Studios for an undisclosed fee.

Swordfish, developer of the upcoming shooter 50 Cent: Blood On The Sand, was the property of Activision Blizzard after the takeover of Vivendi.

Until today, 50 Cent had been left without a publisher, along with other games from various studios.

Codemasters VP Gavin Cheshire said: "We are committed to growing our studio operations across multiple facilities and increasing the internal capability of Codemasters’ creative resource."

The Birmingham-based developer has worked with Codemasters in the past, developing the Brian Lara Cricket and Jonah Lomu Rugby franchises.
