Microsoft has revealed that the wireless microphone accompanying karaoke game Lips will not be compatible with other music titles at launch.
Lips creator Keiichi Yano confirmed to MTV Multiplayer that the microphone will therefore not be usable with Guitar Hero: World Tour or Rock Band.
Yano said that cross-compatibility between titles is currently "not something we can do" without introducing the appropriate patch.
However, he expressed his hope that the situation may change in the future, saying: "It won't work out of the box but it's relatively easy to kind of get it going."
