Five separate companies will collaborate on the officially-licensed game based on forthcoming film Terminator: Salvation, Warner Bros has revealed.

The Halcyon Company, who will share development responsibilities with Swedish firm GRIN, has been on board since the game was announced in November 2007. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will co-publish alongside unknowns Equity Games in Switzerland and UK-based Evolve games.

The game - which has been described as an "intense third-person actioner " - is due to hit shelves next year to coincide with the film's release. It will be available for all platforms.

An official release date for the game is yet to be announced. The movie arrives in US theatres on May 22, with a UK release scheduled for June 5.
