'Wii Fit', 'Mario Kart' go diamond in UK
The Entertainment and Leisure Software Association (ELSPA) has awarded diamond accreditation to Wii Fit and Mario Kart Wii for selling one million units in the UK.

Only a few other titles have been able to achieve a diamond award, including The Simpsons: Hit And Run, Brain Training and Grand Theft Auto (GTA): Vice City.

GTA: San Andreas is also classed as a diamond title, having taken only three weeks to reach the sales milestone.

An ELSPA spokesperson explained to Edge that the charts are indexed to specific consoles, which is why the latest GTA game has not yet been awarded diamond status.

GTA: IV has achieved double-platinum on both PS3 and Xbox 360 but has not surpassed one million units sold on a single console.
