Eidos investigates 'Tomb Raider' Wii bug
Eidos Interactive has announced that it is investigating reports of a bug in the Wii version of Tomb Raider: Underworld which prevents players from making progress.

The news follows threads on the official Tomb Raider forum about a missing essential component in the level around coastal Thailand.

Some gamers have reported that a horizontal bar in the level is missing, which denies further progression in the game.

In a statement issued to Eurogamer, Eidos said: "We are aware of a bug which is present in the Nintendo Wii version of Tomb Raider: Underworld."

The company apologised for the "frustrating problem" and stressed that the game passed through "three separate QA testing departments prior to release".

"Regrettably anomalies such as this do occur occasionally in video games despite the best efforts by publishers to avoid them," the statement continued.

The firm insisted that the bug is not unsolvable and anyone who encounters it should contact the Eidos Interactive support website.
