In a move similar to that of the 360, PSN users can now log in to their gaming accounts from the PlayStation homepage and see who is online, create portable IDs and check for upcoming events.
The update took place on November 27, with a Sony statement reading: "From November 27, 2008 all user accounts at eu.playstation have been updated with new features.
"By combining these with PlayStation Network accounts, you can update your email preferences, register your console and enter prize draws."
