Liverpool striker Fernando Torres is a console addict with three dedicated gaming rooms in his luxury mansion.

According to Click Liverpool, the Spaniard spent around £35,000 on the rooms, which feature huge plasma screen televisions with cinema surround sound.

Torres also has individual copies of his favourite games - Halo 3, Grand Theft Auto IV and Pro Evolution Soccer - in all three rooms.

A Liverpool insider said: "Nobody was surprised when he ordered three gaming rooms at the house - it is a bit excessive, but he's earned it."

The 24-year-old lives next door to clubmate and fellow Spaniard Jose 'Pepe' Reina and the pair regularly play games together.

"Now they can re-live their Euro glory through the computer and Fernando can help get Pepe's hand-eye co-ordination in tip top condition, ready for the season," added the insider.
