SCi Entertainment renamed Eidos

Struggling game publisher SCi Entertainment has taken on the name of its subsidiary company Eidos, finalising a rebranding that was originally announced in February.
The company has suffered a difficult financial year. In September it announced losses of £99 million after off-loading 25% of its workforce and 14 projects earlier in the year. It was the subject of takeover talks earlier this week, with Ubisoft and EA said to be potential buyers.
It is thought that the company has assumed the Eidos name and logo to garner the attention of shareholders during the holiday season.
