Nintendo to be worst hit by recession?
Published Sunday, Dec 7 2008, 14:18 GMT | By Mark Langshaw

Nick Gibson of Games Investor Consulting told The Guardian that he believes the company's casual-focused strategy could backfire in the current economic climate.
"As the market has become more casual-gamer focused, then it will be more susceptible to the economic rhythm," he said. "I would say that Nintendo therefore would be the most susceptible."
The newspaper claimed that there is evidence to back up Gibson's theory, with independent retailers in the UK reportedly suggesting that interest in Nintendo titles has declined.
However, other analysts predicted that the PlayStation 3 is the most vulnerable due to its high cost.
