Electronic Arts buys 'Brutal Legend'
Published Saturday, Dec 13 2008, 09:08 GMT | By Liam Martin

The game, which features Jack Black as roadie Eddie Briggs, was without a publisher following the merger between Vivendi and Activision.
Tim Schafer, president of Double Fine Productions, called the news "awesome" and said that EA's quality made it the perfect home for Brutal.
"Some people were starting to wonder if the saga of Eddie Riggs would ever see the light of day, but now I think it’s clear that this game, like Metal itself, cannot be killed!" he said.
David DeMartini, senior vice president and general manager of EA Partners, called Brutal Legend a "creative tour de force" and expressed his excitement at bringing the title to the world.
Brutal Legend will be available on the PS3 and 360 in autumn 2009.
