Fix for PS3 trophy error on the way
Sony is set to release a fix to counter an error relating to trophy synchronisation on the PlayStation 3.

The complaint dates back to October and is known to affect titles including WipEout HD, Burnout Paradise, LittleBigPlanet and Pain. The error has caused trophy data to become corrupt, and in the worst cases caused games to repeatedly crash.

"A fix is on the way, but I don't have an ETA yet," said a Sony spokesperson.

The error, which reportedly struck after the release of firmware version 2.50, occurs when users try to change their PSN ID or password. The addition of firmware update 2.53 last month failed to rectify the problem.
