Nintendo to offer video streaming on Wii
Nintendo has partnered with Japanese advertising firm Dentsu to bring video streaming to the Wii.

The service, which will launch in Japan in 2009, will include ad-supported free videos as well as pay-per-view material priced between 100 and 400 Wii points.

"Nintendo and Dentsu shall use the environment surrounding the Wii so that living rooms with Wii-ready TVs would become more of a fun area for communication among families and friends," read a joint statement.

The initiative is expected to go live in Japan next year, with a Western launch to follow.
