The title, which comes bundled with every Wii console, has allegedly sold 40.52 million copies since launching with the Wii in November 2006.
Nintendo titles make up the entire top ten biggest sellers of all time, with Super Mario Bros for the NES having sold 40.24 million copies, followed by Pokemon Red/Green/Blue with 31.38 million sales.
The highest non-Nintendo title is Rockstar's GTA: San Andreas, which is twelfth with 17.61 million copies sold.
