Pier Solar, a brand new RPG for Sega’s now defunct Mega Drive, could soon be on its way to Xbox Live, according to the game’s developers.
Water Melon Development is currently working on the title, which will be released on a genuine Mega Drive cartridge, complete with box and instruction manual. An SFX CD compatible with the system’s Mega CD add-on will also come bundled with the game.
"The door is open for a re-release or perhaps a remake on the current generation of consoles when the Mega Drive/Mega CD version is finished," the studio told CVG.
Pier Solar is now available to pre-order from the game’s official website. It is due for release in the first half of 2009.
