BBFC passes controversial 'MadWorld'

Sega's stylised beat-em-up has already been branded "the most violent video game ever" by the Daily Mail.
Its tongue-in-cheek, gory game-play allows players to rip opponents apart with chainsaws, knives and a variety of other implements.
However, the BBFC decided against banning or censoring the title and instead awarded it a full 18 certification.
"From our testing of the product, there was clearly no reason for us to intervene at the adult level," a BBFC spokesperson told Edge Online.
"We clearly had no problems with MadWorld. If we had, we wouldn't have classified it; it's as simple as that."
MadWorld will be released in the UK and North America in March.
