EA delays 'Mirror's Edge' DLC
Electronic Arts (EA) DICE has delayed the release of downloadable content (DLC) for first-person action title Mirror's Edge.

The Pure Time Trial Map Pack was supposed to be available today but will now be released for all formats at some point next month at a cost of around £6.80.

Speaking to IGN, an EA spokesperson explained: "To offer a completely smooth experience for players, DICE announced today that the DLC map pack for Mirror's Edge on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC will be delayed until February."

However, the spokesman added that a PS3 exclusive map pack, titled Synethesia, has been made available today for download without charge from the PlayStation Network.

Writing on the PlayStation Blog, the game's producer Tom Farrer said that the map was inspired by the question: "If Faith was having a dream, what would she be dreaming about?"

"As it turns out, she apparently dreams about enormous, abstract sculptures floating above an endless sea!" he explained.
