The demo will reportedly include both beginner and advanced tutorials, as well the first two missions from the main campaign and one multiplayer map.
Set in the Halo universe, the full version of Halo Wars will include 14 maps enabling players to engage in mass battles between UNSC forces and the Covenant.
A behind-the-scenes video series documenting the game's development is available now from Xbox Live, as well as the Xbox and Halo Wars official websites.
Swedish retailer Webhallen recently listed an upcoming Best Of Halo Xbox 360 bundle, which includes a 60GB Pro console, a wireless controller, Halo Wars, Halo 3 and one month's Xbox Live Gold subscription.
The bundle will be priced at $350 (£244) and released on February 27, but there has been no confirmation as yet whether this will also be launched in the UK.
